The geographic area of the “House of Support” has expanded. As of August 2025, homecare services have been launched in the municipalities of Tetritskaro and Kaspi.
In the newly added municipalities, nurses and caretakers were trained according to the “Rural Model” of homecare by a state-accredited organization. In addition to this formal training, they completed practical instruction together with the “House of Support” teams in Dmanisi and Gori.
Experienced coordinators from the Gori and Dmanisi branches provide supervision to the new units and share their knowledge and professional experience. The teams also receive on-going consultation from a homecare expert.
It is noteworthy that successful cooperation has been established with the local self-government of Kaspi. The “House of Support” expresses hope that similar collaboration will develop with the Tetritskaro municipality as well.
In the villages where homecare services have been introduced, nurses and caretakers were selected from among local residents. They support older persons in their daily activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility and access to nursing services.
