Age is just a number.

In 2013, at the age of 80, Yuichiro Miura climbed Mount Everest, becoming the oldest person at the time to reach its summit. However, this was not his first ascent. He had also reached the summit at the ages of 70 and 75.

A professional skier and adventurer, Miura continues to train actively and sets new challenges for himself.

In the photo on the right, 91-year-old Yuichiro Miura is seen in his hometown, skiing in the Hakkōda Mountains. April 11, 2024.

Let us remember that age is not a verdict. Older adults have the right to live with dignity, hope and fulfillment.

The homecare nurses and caretakers of the “House of Support” bring warmth, hope and compassionate care to older persons every day.
